The Central Bank of Suriname announces that new banknotes of SRD 50 and SRD 100 will be put in circulation with the signature of the current Bank President, Glenn Gersie. These bills are intended to replace old and damaged bills that need to be removed from circulation.

Banknotes of good quality with signatures of previous bank presidents remain until the time they will have to be written off in circulation.
The Bank urges the public to handle banknotes so that they can afford to pay longer and raise high production costs that involve many currencies.
