On October 2, 2019, the Central Bank of Bahama unveiled its new $50 banknote. This is the sixth installment in the CRISP Evolution family. The new notes have new designs, more security features, and robust substrates more durability while in circulation.
The CRISP Evolution $50 is the only note that has a Rapid security thread on the Durasafe substrate. The note is light blue with shades of pink, green, orange, and brown.
The size and dimensions of the note are similar to the existing ones. The security features include a clear polymer window cleverly integrated into the window of the Parliament House.
On the Obverse, there is a picture of the late Sir Roland T. Symonette and the image of a blooming Frangipani flower in the center. The reverse carries a vignette depicting a rendering of the Central Bank’s building.
