Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin Rs150 to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The coin was launched in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In January, Modi had released a commemorative coin of Rs 350 on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh’s birth anniversary, one of the ten preachers of the Sikh religion.
Last year, he released a commemorative Rs 100 coin in remembrance of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
