Czech National Bank issues a silver coin.

To celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Ales Hrdlicka the Czech National Bank is putting into circulation a CZK commemorative silver coin on 20th March 2019. The forged coin is issued in two versions which contains 925 parts silver and 75 parts copper. It has a diameter of 31 mm, thickness of 2.3 mm and weight of 13g.

One face of the coin depicts stages of human evolution portraying three overlapping faces. The abbreviated “200 KC” is located at the lower right hand edge of the coin with the outer circle containing the name of the state “CESKA REPUBLIKA”.

The other side of the coin portrays Ales Hrdlicka. His name is also written around the outer circle. The years ‘1869’ and ‘2019’ is located on the right hand edge of the coin followed by a native american band. The designer Asamat Baltaev’s mark can be found below the year 2019.
