Central Bank of Azerbaijan to issue long-term notes.

At the Annual Fitch Ratings Conference conducted in Baku on April 4, the Director of the Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan- Azar Alasgarov said that the Central Bank of Azerbaijan has decided to issue long-term notes. The notes will be issued for three months, six months and as well as for an year. The circulation period of CBA notes is 28 days. 7% is the average interest rate on notes. In the Conference, the situation of the Banking sector including existing challenges, the macroeconomic indicators of Azerbaijan, development of the country’s economy and also the trends in global oil and gas market are being discussed.
