Angola’s Kwanza to Introduce Polymer Banknotes

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) will soon introduce polymer banknotes and will withdraw banknotes made of paper and cotton. Angola spends the US $30 million every year in cost towards the replacement of deterioration of the banknotes in circulation.

BNA plans to introduce a new Kwanza family with better security features. With the new features, BNA hopes to reduce the costs.
